Crimson Succulent

This small caudiciform grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is crimson or beige, and is covered in brittle light grey spines. The very thick, crimson trunk can grow to as much as 9 feet (2.7 meters) in diameter. Its burgundy branches are very long and thin.

The toothed-edged, very narrow and elongated leaves are found in green, light grey and intense green varieties. They are light, and easily come away when pulled.

It is quick growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid bronze petals decorated with magenta dots and a caramel central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 57 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has a weak scent that smells like rotting meat.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the grey flesh is waxy, and the lime sap is thin.
