Bluevine

This modest-sized tree grows up to 39 meters (128.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 208 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a thick, angular trunk covered in delicate, waxy, gray bark, and inside, the dense wood is burgundy.

The small bunches of branches are short stubs and are covered with large amounts of smooth, giant, long, tapering leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue on the edges and blue at the center.

In late summer it forms giant, dark brown, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.
