Lime Moss

Moss type: Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly light.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It commonly grows in large patches.
