Burgundy Blaze

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This small flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its burgundy stem is thick and straight with a curved tip, and the miniature, yellow-green leaves are very narrow and elongated with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Dozens of giant flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with solid orange petals decorated with lime dots and a vivid yellow central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 18 petals. They are sturdy.

It has a soft scent that smells like pot-purri, and it has very little pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
The sap causes itchiness of the skin
