Caramel

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 34 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, angular stems covered in ridged, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy with dozens of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of huge, very narrow and elongated, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are amber and caramel, flimsy and covered in fine hairs.

In mid-spring it produces several tiny, ashy yellow blossoms with crescent-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like burning wood.

In midwinter long, straight fruits ripen. The waxy beige skin is thick and edible when roasted; it is salty, and the soft red flesh is sweet and very juicy. The green seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.
