Bluebell Vine

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This colossal flower grows up to 8.4 feet (2.6 meters) tall. Its blue stem is very thin, and the large, faded purple leaves are circular with ripped edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

4 to 6 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 113 cm (44.5 inches) wide, with petals that are hazel in the center, magenta in the middle and beige at the edges. The flower head is largely flat with 49 raised narrow petals. They fall easily.

It has the faintest scent that smells like glue, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.


It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
