Burgundy Emerald Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On trees, and On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly strong; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It can survive a long time without water.
The leaves are high in natural sugars.
