Yellow Spiral Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas On trees, In moorlands, and In marshes.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is very rigid; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
