Coilwood Tree

This modest-sized tree grows up to 30 meters (98.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 522 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in very thick, silky, dark green bark, and inside, the flexible wood is burgundy-brown.

The branches are long and slender and are covered with very large amounts of clammy, miniature, thick leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are white on the sides and deep green at the center.

In late summer it forms giant, orange, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
