Indigo Creeper

This small creeper is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 7 feet (2.1 meters) and growing as high as 26 feet (7.9 meters).

It takes 8 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and waxy.

The long, tapering, smooth leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are solid purple with cyan streaks, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces handfuls of large pale blue flowers.
