Yellow Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In marshes, and In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is overwhelmingly robust.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
