Silvergrass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small, silver grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in sparse patches that are durable and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, turquoise tuft.

During the late autumn, it produces excessive amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
The sap is edible and slightly sweet.
