Burgundy Grass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thin stalks grow in large clumps that are resistant and they are exceptionally hardy.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, hazel flower.
During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of large grains.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
