Crimsonbell

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 116 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous sturdy, wonky stems covered in very thick, smooth, brown bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy with dozens of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of huge, 6 pointed, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of gray-green that gradient shifts to crimson at the top, frail and soft.

It produces many clusters of giant, beige flowers with long, tapering petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a strong scent that smells like mint. In early autumn it forms smallsilver, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
