Silver

This short cactus grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The thick stem is gray-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The tear-shaped body is silver and gray-green, and is covered in handfuls of flexible white spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are pink on the edges and brown at the center grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. It has an overpowering scent that smells like rotting meat.

The cactus's skin is tough, the red flesh is waxy, and the dark red sap is thin and can cause blindness if consumed.
