Caramelgrass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)This small, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The finger-like stalks grow in small clumps that are resilient and they spread and grow quickly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, caramel flower.
During the early winter, it produces very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.
It is suitable for making paper
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
