Olive Moss

This gray or olive moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In marshes, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is giant, growing up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
