Emerald

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 17 feet (5.2 meters) and growing as high as 14 feet (4.3 meters).

It takes 10 months for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are tough and woody.

The asymmetrical, rough leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are hazel and sky blue, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of small light brown flowers.

It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
