Silver Moss

This silver moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In rainy mountain ranges, and In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and can overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly flimsy; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
