Yellowwood

This short tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2243 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wonky trunk covered in delicate, cracked, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is yellow.

The numerous branches trail down to the ground, covered with sparse amounts of small, orange needles. The needles themselves are rigid.

In late summer it produces large, black, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
