Twistvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 21 feet (6.4 meters) and growing as high as 65 feet (19.8 meters).

It takes 5 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The circular, smooth leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are found in blood red, violet and azure varieties, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of small dark orange flowers.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
It coexists peacefully with other plants.
