This orange moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In heathlands.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly tough.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
