Flower type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This large flower grows up to 5.4 feet (1.7 meters) tall. Its yellow stem is thick and straight with a curved tip, and the small, lime green leaves are fan-like with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
A single small flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 10 cm (3.9 inches) wide, with solid aquamarine petals decorated with olive dots and a white central disk. The flower head is made up of 9 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. They are very delicate.
It has a strong scent that smells like sweat, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
