Burgundy Spiral Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In damp forests, On rotten logs, and In marshes.
It is average-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely resistant; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores.
