Sunburst

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This colossal flower grows up to 15.0 feet (4.6 meters) tall. Its orange-yellow stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 8 and are thin and straight, and split into numerous branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the small, gray leaves are circular with toothed edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Each stem splits 4 to 10 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 119 cm (46.9 inches) wide, with petals that are blue at the sides and beige at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. They are very delicate.

It has a strong scent that smells like lavender, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.
