Crimson Cactus

This large cactus grows up to 90 feet (27.4 meters) tall. The narrow stem is brilliant green and olive, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid caramel petals decorated with green dots and a crimson central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is largely flat with many widely spaced narrow petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like new books.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the cream flesh is smooth, and the blood red sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
