Copperflower

This small flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its copper stem is very thin and straight, and the giant, red leaves are spear shaped with rounded edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 8 cm (3.1 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of magenta. The flower head is largely flat with many widely spaced narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has a faint scent that smells like lemon, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is a self-pollinator and is ignored by most insect species.
