Spinebloom

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big caudiciform grows up to 17 feet (5.2 meters) tall. The thin stem is lime green, and is covered in brittle grey spines. The wavy, olive trunk can grow to as much as 17 feet (5.2 meters) in diameter at the top. Its yellow-green branches are very short and thin and start growing at the top the stem.

The large amounts of rounded-edged, long, tapering leaves are found in washed-out orange and yellow varieties. They are hardy, and take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 13 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with dark grey petals on the lower layer and magenta petals decorated with cyan dots on the inner layer. The central disk is peach grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 22 curved petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like vanilla.

The caudiciform's skin is delicate, the peach flesh is waxy, and the lime sap is thin.

It blooms only at night.
The leaves are bitter, but very healthy.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
