Turquoisevine

This giant bine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 3,423 feet (1,043.3 meters) and growing as high as 601 feet (183.2 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 2 years for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2.3 feet (69 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The broad, flat, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) in length. They are dark yellow at the bottom and turquoise with dark brown splotches at the top, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of small aquamarine flowers.
