Silver Heath Moss

This silver moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In heathlands, and On rotten logs.
It is enormous, growing up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is slightly frail; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It can survive a very long time without water.
Several parts of the moss have medicinal properties.
