Twistvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This massive shrub grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for around 70 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several flexible, wonky stems covered in paper-thin, waxy, yellow bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches are very short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of giant, sickle shaped, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid slate or turquoise, with lilac lines, flimsy and waxy.

In mid-summer it produces dozens of medium-sized, azure blossoms with finger-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a soft scent that smells like glue.

In late winter circular fruits ripen. The crispy indigo skin is thick and inedible, and the very soft brilliant blue flesh is salty and sour and very juicy. The olive seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

Ivy often grows along the trunk.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
