Serpentine Willow

This massive tree grows up to 93 meters (305.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 619 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wavy trunk covered in fine, silky, silver and white bark, and inside, the flexible wood is black.

The small bunches of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with handfuls of smooth, giant, thick leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are black and yellow.

In late summer it forms giant, slate berries.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
