Coniorange

This small fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 29 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in delicate, waxy, burgundy bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is yellow-brown.

The small handful of branches are very long and thick and are covered with handfuls of large, slender, pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are purple at the bottom and subtle orange with peach streaks at the top.

In early spring, it produces a handful of tiny, purple blossoms with sickle shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a fairly strong scent that smells like lemon.

In mid-autumn it produces small, triangular fruit. The rubbery subtle orange skin is delicate and inedible, and the crunchy lilac flesh is sweet and syrupy. The yellow seeds are large and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
