Serpent's Claw

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is crimson or pink, and is covered in sharp spines. The jagged-edged, thin leaves are either slate, or amber with grey streaks. Very large amounts of them grow from the base like blades of grass. The leaves are tough, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with amber petals on the lower layer and amber petals decorated with caramel dots on the inner layer. The central disk is lilac grows at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like garlic.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the olive flesh is slimy, and the florescent blue sap is thin.
