Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This massive tree grows up to 138 meters (452.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 137 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a flexible, curved trunk covered in rough, brown-green bark, and inside, the soft wood is white.
The sparse amount of branches trail down across the ground, with dozens of twigs covered with large amounts of large, silver needles. The needles themselves are hardy.
In late summer it produces giant, vivid red seed pods.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
