Fanfire Cactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This short cactus grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 2 fan-like stems. Each stem is lime green, and is covered in sharp spines.
It is quick growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are silver in the center, brilliant blue in the middle and ashy purple at the edges, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 50 curved petals. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like bonfire smoke.
The cactus's skin is thick, the magenta flesh is rough, and the cream sap is thin and causes diarrhea if consumed.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
