Copper Clump Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In bogs, and In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely robust.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
