Caramel Spire

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This colossal caudiciform grows up to 143 feet (43.6 meters) tall. The very thin stem is subtle blue, and is covered in sharp spines. The stocky, orange trunk can grow to as much as 143 feet (43.6 meters) in diameter. Its orange branches are tall, rigid and upright.

The wavy-edged, 7 pointed leaves are subtle blue on the sides and bold red at the center. They are resistant, and do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are caramel in the center, caramel in the middle and gold at the edges grows at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 33 petals. It has a weak scent that smells like misty mornings.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the drab green flesh is soft, and the slate sap is thin.

Several parts of the flower have medicinal properties.
