Sickleleaf Suncandle

This average-sized flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its lime green stem is very thin and straight, and the giant, white and deep orange leaves are light subtle blue on the underside and are sickle shaped with rounded edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

3 to 9 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with petals that are amber on the underside and azure on the top. The flower head is largely flat with 60 raised round-tipped petals. They are hardy.

It has the faintest scent that smells like candle wax, and it has an average amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
