Drooping Pepperflower

Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its gray stem is wispy and splits into several branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the small, gray leaves are stiff, pointed with jagged edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Several giant flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with solid subtle orange petals decorated with brown dots and a yellow central disk. The flower head is made up of 23 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. They are sturdy.

It has an intense scent that smells like pepper, and it has an average amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.


It is suitable for making strong rope
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
