Bloodvine

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 43 feet (13.1 meters) and growing as high as 691 feet (210.6 meters).

It takes 12 months for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The long, narrow, rough leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are blood red at the bottom and bronze with slate splotches at the top, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several small lime flowers.
