Emerald Flame Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In rainy mountain ranges, In damp forests, and On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely resistant; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
