Serpentine Pine?
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This big fruit tree grows up to 34 feet (10.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 45 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 80 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a slender, wavy trunk covered in very thick, waxy, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is light brown.
The tangled mess of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of huge, needle-like leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are caramel with grey tips.
In early spring, it produces handfuls of medium-sized, washed-out red blossoms with slender, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like mango.
In early winter it produces , circular fruit. The hairy red skin is tough and edible when boiled; it is slightly salty, and the very soft washed-out red flesh is bitter and very juicy. The brown seed is very large and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
