Moorland Emerald Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is overwhelmingly delicate; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
