Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In damp forests, In moorlands, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very flimsy; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
