Goldstem Creeper

This short creeper is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 7 feet (2.1 meters) and growing as high as 274 feet (83.5 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 6 months for the gold or cyan stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and fibrous.

The broad, flat, clammy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are pale orange at the bottom and dark brown with grey splotches at the top, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces hundreds of small dark brown flowers.
