Dampwillow
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This small flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stems grow in bunches of 6 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the huge, moss green leaves are thin with serrated edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Each stem splits 1 to 7 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are either cyan or turquoise, with a yellow center. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of raised round-tipped petals. They detach easily.
It has an overpowering scent that smells like damp, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
