Aquamoss

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This big shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 15 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous knobbly, straight stems covered in ridged, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of giant, thin, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are ashy yellow and aquamarine, strong and covered in fine hairs.

It produces lots of tiny, pink flowers with 9 heart-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a mildly strong scent that smells like misty mornings. In early summer it forms smallbrown, spiky-shelled seeds.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
All parts of the moss are edible.
