Emerald Marsh Moss

This green moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In damp forests, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is extremely flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores.
