Magenta Stemflower

This large flower grows up to 2.1 feet (64 cm) tall. Its magenta stems grow in bunches of 5 and are very thick with a curved tip, and the small, emerald leaves are light yellow-green on the underside and are needle-like with jagged edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

A single tiny flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 63 cm (24.8 inches) wide, with pale green petals that gradient shift to amber on the outer edge. The central disk is lime. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. They are sturdy.

It has the faintest scent that smells like rotten eggs, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
